Infinix HOT 70: Affordable smartphone with MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate

Infinix offers a range of very appealing budget smartphones that are gaining significant traction in many countries; to round out its lineup, today we’re introducing the newly launched Infinix HOT 70.

Infinix HOT 70 SpecsA modest device powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate processor—a slight evolution of the popular MediaTek Helio G99 SoC—which will allow us to run the system and all kinds of apps smoothly, thanks to its score of around 435,000 points on AnTuTu v11.

It features 6/8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, allowing you to run multiple apps or browser tabs simultaneously. For storage, it offers 128/256GB of UFS 2.2, which can be expanded by up to 2 TB via its microSD card slot.

The display is a 6.78-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1576 × 720 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and an average brightness of 560 nits. For photography, it features an 8 MP front-facing camera and a 50 MP rear camera.

It features wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, FM radio, GPS, IR sensors, and a 4G-LTE modem with dual SIM support. For connectivity, it features a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port, while the built-in battery is a 6,400 mAh unit with 45W fast charging. This Infinix model includes two DTS-compatible speakers, delivering quite decent sound quality.

The Infinix HOT 70 runs on Android 16, with an update path to Android 19, and features the XOS 16 UI. Finally, its body is IP65-certified, weighs 195 grams, and on one of the sides there is a programmable button that allows the device to launch apps or perform actions.

Price and availability

  • The new Infinix HOT 70 will be available globally for around $120, a pretty good price for what it offers. We’re unlikely to see it in the West, though we always have the option to check AliExpress.
