The Chinese brand Infinix has just unveiled its Infinix NOTE Edge, a mid-range device that, in addition to featuring the new Mediatek Dimensity 7100 SoC, includes some interesting details such as JBL speakers.
The new Mediatek Dimensity 7100 processor is a mid-range chip that scores 800,000 points on AnTuTu v11, meaning we can run all kinds of apps and games without any problems. As you would expect from a good mid-range device, it has a 6.78-inch, 120 Hz AMOLED screen and an IP65-certified body.
The operating system is Android 16 with the XOS 16 layer, the INFINIX AI artificial intelligence tool suite, and system updates are guaranteed for 3 years and security updates for 5 years.
Infinix NOTE Edge specifications
The processor in this new Motorola smartphone is the new Mediatek Dimensity 7100, an Octa Core manufactured in 6 nm. Within this integrated circuit, there are two clusters: the most powerful with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 processors reaching 2.4 GHz and the most efficient with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors reaching 2.0 GHz. The GPU is a Mali-G610 MC2.
The RAM currently comes in a single version with 8 GB LPDDR4X, although as always, we can expand it virtually with storage memory. For storage, we have 128/256 GB UFS 2.2, which we can also expand via a micro SD slot to, we assume, cards with a capacity of 2 TB.
Screen, cameras, and battery life
The screen panel used by the Infinix NOTE is a 6.78-inchAMOLED with a resolution of 2644 x 1208 pixels, maximum brightness of 4500 nits,120 Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, and protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.
For selfies, there is a13 MP front camera that complements the rear sensor with a 50 MP main lens, which appears to be accompanied by another auxiliary sensor. There is also an in-screen fingerprint reader, IR sensor, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, FM radio, and 4-in-1 GPS.
In terms of connection interfaces, this new device features a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port for data and charging. The battery is 6500 mAh with fast charging up to 45 W, reverse charging at 10 W, and JBL stereo speakers for audio.
