Iru M7 a miniPC now with Intel Core i7-6500U and i5-8250U processors

Today we find a couple of new versions of the compact miniPC IRU M7 that this time has as its heart Intel 6th and 8th generation low-power processors. Undoubtedly the most interesting version is the one that includes a modern Intel Core I5-8250U of the Kaby Lake family and manufactured in 14nm +. A very solvent chip designed for laptops and capable of moving anything with very contained consumption.

Basic Review

The IRU M7 miniPC is powered by low-power processors with a power far superior to the Celerons or Pentiums that we usually find in the mini PC’s and that allows us to use programs of all kinds with complete fluency, in terms of games we are limited to titles simple 3D. At the multimedia level you can play video up to 4K@30fps resolutions and in terms of streaming we can see Netflix, Prime Video, HBO up to FullHD as in any of the others miniPCs that we recommend.

Processor, RAM and storage

The IRU M7 miniPC is now available in two versions plus the first with an Intel Core I5-8250U processor with four cores and eight threads that reaches 3.40 GHz, integrates an Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU and consumes 15W TPD. The second version has a Dual Core Intel Core i7-6500U that reaches a speed of 3.10 Ghz in turbo mode and has an IntelHD Graphics 520 GPU. Inside the small miniPC case we also have at least one SO-DIMM slot where Install up to 16GB of RAM and it looks like an M.2 interface for SSD and a bay for 2.5 ″ SATA3 drives.

Other features

The IRU M7 miniPC also includes aC + Bluetooth 4.0 WiFi wireless connectivity section. The available interfaces that we find in the perimeter of its box are multiple 2 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, SPDIF digital audio output, Gigabit network port and an HDMI 1.4 video output.
