The M12SX is a new Smart Box that we found on AliExpress, this time powered by a high-end SoC such as the AMlogic S922X and that we do not usually see in many Chinese boxes.
The M12SX includes metal case and external Wifi antenna, details only present in mid-range and high-end devices like this one. The rest of the hardware at this point does not stand out especially, pointing out its 4 GB of RAM DDR4 and its powerful SoC capable of moving any app and games without problems. This Box can also be used as a multimedia center, since its Amlogic S922X SoC is capable of decoding 4K UHD video and much more as you can see in some of our reviews of similar TV Boxes.
SoC, RAM and storage
The TV Box M12SX includes the Amlogic S922X SoC, a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 1.8Ghz + 2 ARM Cortex-A53 processors reaching 1.9 GHz. The GPU is an ARM Mali-G52 MP6 that allows us to run powerful games like PUBG without problems. Regarding VPU we have the Amlogic Video Engine (AVE-10) processor with all kinds of HDR support, Dolby Vision, etcetera… The RAM is 4 GB LPDDR4 and storage is 32 GB eMMc expandable thanks to a micro SD card reader that we have on one side.
Other features
In terms of wireless connectivity the Box M12SX has WiFi aC 1T1R with an external antenna and Bluetooth 4.1 in all two versions. In the field of interfaces we have on the perimeter of the box 2 USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output, an HDMI 2.0 and a 3.5 mm jack for analog audio and video output.
The operating system is Android 9 and a remote control is included in addition to cables and power supply.
