M16 Lite a low-end Box with Allwinner H3 SoC

Within the TV-Box with a hardware of the most basic are certainly those that include a SoC Allwinner H3, within these models today we find the new M16 Lite. An Android TV-Box with this simple Allwinner SoC that is located in the low price range and includes Android 7.1 as operating system and 2GB of RAM as the only highlights.

Basic review

If we do a superficial review of the M16 Lite we see that the SoC Allwinner H3 has a chip that is behind others like the S905W at all levels. It has basic power to be used as a media player with KODI or LibreELEC, we can also play very simple games without pretensions but we can not play powerful titles like PUBG. You have to remember that these cheap Boxes do not have secured support and they do not have DRM certificates with which we can only see Netflix in SD quality. If you are interested in watching Streaming of payment in HD quality and 4K you can see our list of TV-Box with compatible DRM certificates.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Box M16 Lite as we have already mentioned includes the SoC Allwinner H3 with four CPU cores ARM Cortex-A7 and a GPU Mali-400MP2 that has native decoding of h.265 and VP9 codecs by hardware. It also includes 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of storage memory that we can expand thanks to the microSD card reader that we find on the side.

Other specifications

At the level of wireless connectivity we have only b/g/n WiFi and the interfaces available on the sides of the plastic box are 2 USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100 network port, analog audio and video outputs, and an HDMI video interface 2.0a that allows resolutions 4K@60fps with support for HDR.

In the box we also find feeder, cables and an infrared remote control to control the Box.
