M98-Y6, a Small Android Stick for only $15

Today we look at a Stick with Android of the most economical range called M98-Y6 moved this time by an entry-level processor Allwinner H313.

As always in this format we have minimal connectivity options, although at least it has micro SD card reader, and we do not have the necessary certificates to watch paid streaming in high quality. If we are looking for something to watch Netflix or other streaming platforms, it is better to go for a device certified for streaming.

The Android stick M98-Y6 includes as engine the low power consumption SoC Allwinner H313. A Quad Core chip with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPU with native decoding of h.265 and VP9 codecs and support for HDR10 video.

We have on board versions with 1/2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8/16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader that includes this equipment on the side of its small body made of plastic.

Other notable features

In terms of wireless connectivity, this TV-stick only has dual-band wifi aC, as it does not have Bluetooth. As connectors we only have an HDMI 2.0 video output, a USB 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm jack to connect the IR sensor extension and a micro USB port for power.

With this small media player is also delivered a basic quality IR remote control, although we also have the option to purchase it with a remote that includes a microphone to use Google Assistant.
