MagicSee C500 Mini a cheap Box with DTT HD and Satellite Tuners

We already have available a new Box with DTT and Satellite Tuners called MagicSee C500 Mini, a very reduced version of the MagicSee C500 PRO.

This new Smart Box with Android 9.0 maintains the two DVB-T / T2 DVB-S / S2 tuners, but reduces the rest of the hardware significantly, since now the SoC is a Quad Core AMlogic S905W, significantly lower than the S905X3 that mounts the version More powerful. Note that the cheapest version includes only 1 GB of RAM, nothing recommended for any current Box and less if it includes DTT and satellite tuners like this

The MagicSee C500 Mini is an attractive Box for its price, although if we are going to use it intensively it will fall short because of its SoC, which for example is not capable of reproducing 4K video at 60 fps.

SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart TV Box with Android MagicSee C500 Mini integrates in terms of hardware the Amlogic S905W SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a MALI-450MP5 GPU.

It has 1/2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 8/16 GB of eMMc storage memory and a micro SD card reader located on the side of the black plastic box that allows us to increase its internal storage.

Other features

In the field of wireless connectivity, we have Dual Band Wi-Fi aC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. As for connectors, this mini Smart Box includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 video port, SPDIF digital audio output, 10/100 network connector, an analogue port for audio and video and Antenna connectors for DTT and satellite.

It also includes a simple infrared remote control, cables, power supply and the operating system is Android 9.0.
