The Mecool Chinese have just launched their new MECOOL M8S PLUS S2 Box in stores, a cheap version of the Mecool K7 that continues to include the interesting S905X2 SoC and 2GB of RAM. An economical and simple Smart Box with Android 9.0 dedicated to those who need something with satellite tuner included and that allows them to also run apps like Kodi or others like that without problems and that already allows you to play 4K video excessively. We do not have data on your software but it is expected to be the same as the Mecool K7 and includes support for OScam servers and the like.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Mecool M8S PLUS S2 includes the AMlogic S905X2 SoC a Quad Core that integrates a powerful Mali-G31 MP2 GPU, as a novelty in video playback we have a new VPU that integrates specific hardware to encode and decode codecs h.265 and VP9. We have 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of eMMc storage memory on the board. As you can see, it does not have a microSD card reader to expand the internal memory, but fortunately it has at least two USB ports.
