Within the CES 2018 fair, the MeLE brand has presented a new model of passive mini PC called Mele PCG63-KBL1 with a rather peculiar upper heatsink design that we did not know before. Apart from this new model we also see again the mini PCs that were already presented at the Hong Kong Fair a few months ago, the MeLE PCG63-APL2 mini PC with 7-generation Intel Core Kaby Lake processors and the Apollo Lake PC Stick MeLE PCHD26-APL3.
This new passive computer is called MeLE PCG63-GML1, as we can see has a large aluminum heatsink on the top that is in contact with the processor, so we have a completely passive device and temperatures can be maintained low without losing performance. The processors available in this model will be the Quad Core Intel Pentium J5005, Celeron J4105 and the Dual core Celeron J4005, without a doubt a power adjusted for this type of dissipation.
Regarding general specifications in the MeLE PCG63-GML1 we have option of up to 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM integrated in the board, M.2 disk slot, housing for SSD or 2.5 “HDD, Wifi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 , USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports in addition to a USB 3.1 Type-C connector, in the video section we have HDMI 2.0 4K@60fps output and also VGA that allows us to connect two monitors at once. This model is compatible with Windows 10 and Linux, it is expected to go into production in March along with the other passive models previously announced.
