Today we found in the Amazon store the new micro PC ZX01, a small device that fits in the palm of our hand. A small computer valid for office work, multimedia or surfing the web without occupying our working table.
The Micro PC ZX01 is a low power consumption mini Pc that stands out externally for its compact size, with a metal case with dimensions of only 72 x 72 x 45 mm. Inside hides the new Intel Celeron N5105 processor, which is manufactured in 10 nm and has a TDP of just 10 W which guarantees a really low power consumption and, therefore, really low maximum temperatures during use. The rest of the hardware of this micro PC with 8 GB of RAM an SSD up to 1 TB makes it suitable for any office work, browsing and multimedia playback up to 4K resolutions.
Processor, RAM and storage
On the motherboard of the Micro PC ZX01 mini PC we have an Intel Celeron N5105 processor, a Quad Core manufactured in 10 nm capable of reaching 2.9 GHz in burst mode and in which we find an Intel UHD Graphics GPU with support for h.265 and VP9 video playback up to 4K60fps resolutions. Attached to the processor we have a fan that extracts air from the side of the case to keep temperatures at bay, this processor does not have to generate much heat to be manufactured in 10nm.
The RAM memory installed is 8 GB LPDDR4 soldered on the board, while with respect to storage we have an SSD with 128/256/512 GB or 1 TB. We also have an SD card reader compatible with capacities up to 128 GB or more.
Other specifications
This low power micro PC includes for wireless connectivity a dual band Wi-Fi aC adapter with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.2. In terms of ports we find on the perimeter of the metal case a 3.5 mm audio jack, Gigabit network connector, three USB 3.0 Type A, one USB 3.0 Type-C and two HDMI 2.0 video outputs that allow video resolutions up to 4K@60fps.
The included operating system is Windows 11, also in compatible with Linux distributions, and includes an external power supply. A very small PC similar to others with much bigger box.
