During the CES trade show, the new MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro 470 mini PC was unveiled, a machine that evolves the current X1 Pro with a processor refresh.
The engine is the high-end AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX470 processor, replacing the HX 370. The configuration is the same, with 12 cores and 24 threads, now reaching 5.2 GHz, and with an AI core that increases to 55 TOPS of power. The graphics engine is the Radeon 890M GPU, which has cores with RDNA3.5 architecture, offering high performance. This new version in this family of mini PCs maintains thealuminum case design, with a fingerprint reader on the top.
This desktop computer has a built-in power supply that is ideal for all types of work due to its power, even for quite demanding games, by adjusting their graphics quality.
MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro 470 Specifications
The engine is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470processor, manufactured by TSMC in an efficient 4 nm. This is a 12-core chip with 4 powerful Zen 5 cores on one side and 8 low-power Zen 5C cores on the other, 24 threads, and a speed of up to 5.2 GHz. Naturally, there is a 55 TOPS AI core for artificial intelligence tasks. It features a Radeon 890M GPU from the new RDNA 3.5 generation, with 16 CUs and reaching up to 2900 MHz. This processor offers enough power for any demanding app.
There are two SODIMM DDR5 5600 MHz slots that allow for dual-channel configurations of up to 128 GB. For storage, there are three M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe x4 SSD slots, allowing for up to 12 TB of storage.
Connectivity and other features
In terms of wireless connectivity, we have a Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 adapter. On the front of the case, there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, one USB4, two USB-A 3.2 ports, and a reset button. On the back, there is another USB4 port, a USB-A 2.0 port, an OCulink port for connecting an external GPU, and two 2.5 GB high-speed Ethernet network connectors. For video outputs, we can use two HDMI 2.1ports and a DisplayPort 1.4with8K@60 HDR support, which allows us to connect up tofour simultaneous displays.
The default operating system is Windows 11 PRO, but a Linux distribution can be installed if desired. It also has VESA support and two microphones for giving commands to the installed assistant.
