Introducing the new MINISFORUM AI X1 mini PC, the little brother of the recent MINISFORUM AI X1 Pro, which also offers OCulink connector.
The attractive MINISFORUM AI X1 is presented in a sober aluminum case that will look good on any desk or living room. As engine we have the AMD Ryzen 7 260 notebook processor with 8 cores and 16 threads that reaches up to 5.1 GHz and with a core for AI with 18 TOPS of power. As graphics engine we have the Radeon 780M GPU that works up to 2.7 GHz and manufactured with RDNA 3 architecture, a chip that we have seen in some review offering a good result.
A small computer that also includes integrated speakers and microphones, making it ideal for desktop use. A good platform for work and even for quite demanding games, adjusting the graphics quality of them.
MINISFORUM AI X1 Specifications
On the motherboard of this mini PC we find the AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor which is manufactured by TSMC in an efficient 4 nm. This is a chip with 8 cores and 16 threads that reaches a speed of up to 5.1 GHz. It has a small AI core of 16 TOPS for artificial intelligence tasks (38 TOPS adding CPU). As a GPU graphics solution, it includes a powerful 12-core Radeon 780M iGPU that reaches a speed of 2.7 GHz. A processor with which we can move any demanding design app and play several demanding titles.
As for the RAM we have two SODIMM DDR5 5600 MHz slots that allow use in Dual Channel configuration. For storage we have two M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD slots, which allow us to add up to 8 TB of storage.
Connectivity and other features
As wireless connectivity we have an adapter with Wifi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. On the front of the case we find 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB4, two USB-A 3.2 and a small button for BIOS reset. On the back we can use another USB4 port, a USB-A 2.0, OCulink port to connect an external GPU and a high speed Ethernet 2.5 GB network connector. As video outputs we can use the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.0 ports with 8K@60 HDR support which gives us the possibility to connect up to 4 simultaneous displays adding the USB4 ports.
It includes as system Windows 11 PRO, but if we want we can install a Linux distribution, since it is compatible. It also has VESA support to hang it on a monitor, also mounts two speakers and two microphones to listen to audio or give orders to the Windows assistant.
