Minisforum has just unveiled its new network-attached storage (NAS) device, the Minisforum N4, at Computex 2026; it is the younger sibling of the Minisforum N5.
This device comes equipped with the new Intel Wildcat Lake processors, an architecture that promises excellent performance for both managing large files and running containerized applications or light virtualization. With this product, the brand aims to offer a powerful and compact solution for advanced home users and small offices that require high data transfer rates.
It features a metal chassis and a silent cooling system. The Minisforum N4 is positioned as one of the brand’s most comprehensive and compact NAS devices.

Minisforum N4, Compact NAS
At its core is the Intel Core 3 305processor, manufactured on a 10nm process (Intel 7). This solution offers a configuration of 6 cores and 8 threads (2 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores) capable of reaching 4.3 GHz in turbo mode. On the graphics side, it relies on a single-core Intel Xe iGPU for multimedia and basic use. Power consumption is very low, with profiles of 10/15/35 W.
It features M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 slots for high-speed cache or solid-state storage. For RAM, it has two DDR5 6400 MT/s slots that guarantee high speed.
Storage capacity and other features
This new NAS features a 4-bay design compatible with 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch drives, enabling versatile RAID configurations to protect your data. A device that stands out for its cutting-edge connectivity, as it includes native support for Wi-Fi 7 and USB4 ports, enabling external transfer speeds of up to 40 Gbps.
When it comes to wired networking, the Minisforum N4 is no slouch, featuring 2.5G and 10G Ethernet ports (depending on configuration) to maximize bandwidth on local networks. On the multimedia front, thanks to Intel’s iGPU, it is capable of hardware-accelerated video transcoding in 4K HDR AV1 format, making it an ideal media server for Plex or Jellyfin.
