From MINIX we get information about his new HUB USB Type-C, a model called MINIX NEO C Plus that allows connecting up to nine types of peripherals, plus it gives us the option of having two monitors connected by its dual HDMI output . Undoubtedly one of the USB HUB with more connectors than we have seen in the market, we will soon see it in detail on our website. We hope to have more news about MINIX news soon, we will surely have new products at the IFA fair in Berlin this August, we will visit their booth in person.
As we see the design of this new MINIX HUB follows the design line of its range of products that we saw in detail recently in a review, we have a metal box of straight lines with the logo of the brand at the top. On the perimeter we can find all the ports, on the front end the USB Type-C cable, on one side the two HDMI ports 1.4 to 4K@30fps, two USB 3.0 ports up to 5Gbps, on the other end a Gigabit Ethernet port and another USB 3.0, on the last side we have a microSD card reader and another SD with UHS-I support up to 104 MB/s and a USB Type-C charging port.
The two HDMI connectors of the MINIX NEO C Plus can output video signal to two other monitors but according to the documentation is only available for MacOS systems, in any case it is only possible to perform mirror mode on three monitors at the same time or perform extended desktop in two . Certainly peculiar these limitations, we will put it to the test in our review in this aspect.
- Soon the MINIX NEO C Plus will be available in stores like Amazon.com for a price of $89.90 (€79.99)
