Moonlight Configuration
From the Moonlight client menu we have several options that we can touch, by clicking on the nut icon we get to the settings in detail.
Among the main settings we highlight the most important ones. We recommend starting to test it with the default settings and depending on the results adjust it to suit your network.
- Resolution: We recommend adjusting it to the size of our device, if it is a Smartphone with a small screen, maybe 720p is enough.
- Frame rate: Depending on whether it is a frenetic game (FPS) or a calmer one (RTS) we can adjust between more or less frames and gain fluidity.
- Bitrate: This indicates the compression quality we are going to have, the higher the bitrate the higher the quality but the higher the need for speed on the network.
- Frame Pacing: A setting that balances frame pacing with fluidity.
- Audio: Sound quality.
- Gamepad: Detailed configuration of the control we use.
- Input / On-screen controls: Settings for touch input.
- Advanced: Options for fine quality, HDR support or 120fps, we require in the server a modern hardware with support for HVEC Main 10 codecs.
