MXV another entry-level 4K Chinese Box with Amlogic SoC

Within the economic range of Chinese TV-Boxes, without a doubt the most interesting are those that come with the AMlogic S905W2 SoC, like this new one called MXV.

The Amlogic S905W2, for its price, is a very interesting processor as you can see in our review and that also already comes with Android 11 as a system. A processor that is capable of decoding video with the AV1 codec up to 4K@60fps resolutions and HDR 10+ support, so we will have good features as a media player.

As in other Boxes, MXV is not recommended for viewing payment platforms such as Netflix, since it lacks certificates to view them in maximum video quality. In short, another basic Box like others that we can already find in the current market.

MXV Specifications

Inside the Android Box MXV we find the Amlogic S905W2 processor manufactured in 12nm as the engine. This chip is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A35 processors and a MALI-G3 MP2 GPU. A sufficient processor to use streaming apps, KODI, IPTV and some simple 3D loaded games.

In this device, we have 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32 GB of eMMc storage memory integrated on the board. It also has a micro SD format card reader that allows us to increase its internal storage capacity.

Other features

In the wireless connectivity section in the MXV we have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, although we do not know their specific characteristics that may vary in the models with 2 and 4 GB of RAM. In the connectors section, this Smart Box is quite simple as it includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 10/100 network connector and finally an analogue port for audio and video output.

Included with the accessories is an infrared remote control, power adapter and all the necessary cables to get it up and running right out of the box.
