Presented in China the new OPPO A5 Pro a terminal that surprises us with its robust features, but maintains a conventional external design.
This terminal surprises for its resistant body designed to withstand many falls, its screen reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and its IP69 certification that make this a very robust terminal. Despite its design and a good 6000 mAh battery with fast charging 80 W, we have a weight of about 185 grams, an excellent figure
As engine uses the recent SoC Mediatek Dimensity 7300, an evolution of the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 which exceeds up to 25% in CPU and 20% in GPU thanks to its new Arm Mali-G615. It also highlights its screen with a 6.7″ AMOLED panel that will give us good visibility thanks to its brightness and refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz. Finally, as operating system we have Android 15 with the ColorOS 15.0 layer.
OPPO A5 Pro Specifications
The SoC of this new OPPO smartphone is a recent Mediatek Dimensity 7300, an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm. Inside this integrated we have two clusters, the most powerful with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 processors that reach 2.5 Ghz and the most efficient with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach 2.0 Ghz. The GPU is a Mali-G615 MC2 that reaches 1047 Mhz and includes support for HDR10 technology. We also have an NPU 655 for artificial intelligence work.
The RAM memory has versions with 8/12 GB LPDDR4X although as always we can expand it virtually with the storage memory. For storage we have options with 256 / 512 GB UFS 3.1 that we can also expand via micro SD slot up to, we assume, with 2 TB capacity cards.
Display, cameras, and autonomy
The display panel used by the OPPO A5 Pro is a 6.70-inch AMOLED with 2412 x 1080 pixels resolution, maximum brightness of 1200 nits, 120 Hz refresh, 20:9 aspect ratio and includes light and proximity sensors.
For selfies on the OPPO A5 Pro we have on the front a 16 MP camera that complements the rear sensors integrated in a circular module, with a 50 MP OIS main sensor supported by an auxiliary 2 MP depth sensor. We also have fingerprint reader integrated under the screen, 5G/4G LTe connectivity with Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, infrared sensor and GPS 5 in 1 for precise positioning anywhere.
As for connection interfaces, in this new terminal we find a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port for data and recharging. The battery is 6000 mAh with fast charging up to 80 W and for audio we have stereo speakers.
Price and where to buy
- The new OPPO A5 Pro has just been launched in China for about $260 at the exchange rate in its most basic version, although we assume that it will soon be seen in Europe and AliExpress.
