The new OPPO PAD 5 Pro tablet has already been announced in China; it’s a high-end device featuring a large 13.2-inch display.
This tablet is the bigger sibling of the recently announced OPPO PAD Mini, which has an 8.8-inch screen. It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, manufactured using an efficient 3nm process a more powerful solution that outperforms its Mediatek counterparts. As usual, it features a metal chassis with very slim bezels relative to the screen. Its eight speakers also stand out, making it a great choice for enjoying HD audio content.
Its operating system is Android 16 with the lightweight, customized ColorOS 16 overlay. This OS supports multiple languages, including Spanish, receives OTA updates, and allows for the installation of the Google Play Store.
OPPO PAD 5 Pro Specifications
The SoC powering this new OPPO PAD 5 Pro is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Octa-Core, manufactured on a 3nm process. Inside this chip, we find a 2-cluster configuration: the fastest cluster features 2 Prime Cores clocking up to 4.6 GHz, and a second cluster with 6 Performance Cores reaching 3.6 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 830, capable of running any demanding game. RAM and storage capacities have not yet been specified, but the device supports high-speed UFS 4.1.
The display on this Vivo model is a 13.2 inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3.4K pixels and a configurable refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. On the camera front, the rear features a 13 MP sensor, while the front houses an 8 MP camera.
As for audio, it features eight speakers, and the battery is a 13,380 mAh unit with 66 W fast charging. It includes light, gravity, Hall, and color temperature sensors, a gyroscope, and wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For connectivity, it features an Advanced USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.
