The new OPPO Pad Air5, another mid-range tablet with exactly the same features as the recent OnePlus Pad Go 2, is now on sale in China.
An OPPO that like the OnePlus tablet has a screen with a 7:5 aspect ratio, same size of 12.1 inches, 120 Hz refresh, good resolution of 2.8K and compatibility with Stylus. In the same way as engine is used, the recent Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Ultra processor, a very valid chip for a mid-range tablet like this. If we are interested in being connected to the network all the time, we also have a variant with 5G connectivity.
As operating system we have Android 16 with the ColorOS 16.0 layer and has a size of 266 x 192 x 6.83 mm and its weight is around 600 grams, so it is not particularly light despite having the AIR tagline.
OPPO Pad Air5 Specifications
The SoC of this new OPPO tablet is the recent Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Ultra, an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm. Within this integrated we have two clusters, the most powerful with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 processors that reach 2.5 Ghz and the most efficient with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach 2.0 Ghz. The GPU is a Mali-G615 MC2 that reaches 1047 Mhz and includes support for HDR10 technology. We also have a NPU 655 for artificial intelligence work.
The RAM memory has versions with 8/12 GB LPDDR5X although as always we can expand it virtually with the storage memory. For storage, we find 128/256 GB UFS 3.1.
Display, cameras and autonomy
The screen used by the OPPO Pad Air5 is a 12.1-inch IPS with a resolution of 2800 x 1980 pixels, maximum brightness of 900 nits, 120 Hz refresh rate, 7:5 aspect ratio and includes light and proximity sensors.
We find an 8 MP front camera that complements the 8 MP rear camera, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. As for connection interfaces we find a USB Type-C 2.0 OTG port for data and recharging, the battery has a capacity of 10,050 mAh with fast charging up to 33 W and for audio we have 4 stereo speakers.
Best price and where to buy
- The new OPPO Pad Air5 has just gone on sale in China for about 230 € in its basic version, and if we want to buy it, we will have to look at stores like AliExpress.
