Since long time we had not seen one of the curious hybrids that popularized the China PiPo brand and that stood out for its design in the way between a tablet and a miniPC. Today we find the new PiPo X10R that with a 10.8-inch screen this time includes Android 7.1 as OS and an internal battery of 10000 mAh to not always have it connected to the mains. As for the SoC, this time we have a powerful RK3399 which, however, has not been widely accepted due to the low level of software that has accompanied it.
SoC, RAM and storage
The PiPo X10R has the core of the Rockchip RK3399 Hexa Core SoC that has a cluster of 2 ARM Cortex-A72 processors capable of reaching 2.0Ghz and another cluster with 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors. Its GPU is a Mali-T860 MP4 that has support for decoding of H.265 / H.264 and VP9 codecs up to 4K@60fps video resolutions. We also have 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 64 GB of eMMc storage memory expandable thanks to the included microSD card reader.
Display and other specifications
The screen of the PiPo X10R is a touch of 10.8″, in the wireless connectivity section we have Wifi b/g/n with external antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. The different connectors of this equipment are located on the sides where we have two USB 3.0 ports , two other USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0 video output, 10/100 Ethernet connector and a 3.5mm audio jack.
