The new POCO X8 Power has just made its debut on the international market. It’s a mid-range smartphone with a large 10,000 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 100 W, and its specs are very similar to those of the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G.
Powering its IP69K-rated body is the latest Octa-Core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, built on a 4-nm process, which, as a reference, scores around 650,000 points on Antutu V11. It has 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM at 6,400 Mbps, and for storage, options include 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.2, which is not expandable.
This POCO model features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1280 pixels, a maximum brightness of 3,500 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
On the camera front, there’s a 50 MP OIS main rear camera supported by a modest 8 MP wide-angle lens and an LED flash, while the front features a 32 MP camera.
For audio, there are two speakers, and the battery has a capacity of 10,000 mAh with fast charging up to 100 W and reverse charging at 27 W. For connectivity, it features an IR sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, 5-in-1 GPS, an IR sensor, and a 4G/5G modem with dual SIM support. In terms of ports, it has a USB-C port, and the fingerprint reader is integrated beneath the display. Finally, the operating system is Android 16 with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 UI, and for audio, there are two speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos.

- The POCO X8 Power is currently available in India, but there’s no need to wait, as the similar Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is already available on Amazon.
