New low-end TV-Box range that reaches us from oriental stores under the name of Q96 Mini. It is a model with a standard configuration that we have seen in many other Boxes of which you have our Review available.
Basic Review
This TV-Box at the hardware level can be used as a basic media player with KODI and you can also play simple games without too much pretension. You have to remember that this type of cheap Box does not have guaranteed updates support and does not have DRM certificates, so we can only see Netflix in basic quality. SoC, RAM and storage
The Box Q96 Mini integrates at the hardware level the SoC of Amlogic S905W, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and a MALI-450MP5 GPU. It has 1/2GB of DDR3 RAM, 8/16GB of eMMc storage memory and a microSD card reader that allows us to increase its storage located on one side of the black plastic box.
Other specifications
At the level of wireless connectivity we only have b/g/n WiFi with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.1. As for connectors includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0b port, 10/100 network connector and finally an analog port for audio and video, a fairly standard configuration.
Also included in the box is a basic infrared remote control, cables and power supply.
