New low-end Smart TV Box that we see in Chinese stores under the name of Q96 moved by RK3329 SoC and that at least includes Android 9.0 as operating system. A low range that has as a great differential the decoration of its box since the rest of characteristics is similar, if not the same, to the boxes of its price. A Box that can work as a mediaplayer that reaches even 4K @ 60fps resolutions without problems, but with very few pretensions.
Basic Review
The Smart Box Q96 is a low-cost based on SoC RK3229 since we have seen in some reviews, an Android TV-Box that can work as a basic player with KODI or IPTV and where we can run simple games without too much demand of resources given its hardware. We must remember that these cheap Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates, so we can only see Netflix in the basic quality. SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV-Box Q96 includes the RockChip RK3229 SoC as a central core, a chip with four ARM Cortex-A7 processors capable of reaching up to 1.5 Ghz and a Mali-400mp2 GPU capable of natively playing video up to 4K @ 60fps resolutions. This equipment also includes 1/2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8/16 GB of expandable eMMc storage memory thanks to the SD card reader included in one of the sides of the box.

Regarding wireless connectivity, the TV-Box Q96 includes only Dual Band Wi-Fi with internal antenna as it lacks Bluetooth. As for ports this TV-Box has on the sides of its box 2 USB 2.0 ports, analog AV output, HDMI 2.0 connector and a RJ45 10/100 network port.
