The REDMI 17 5G has just been launched on the international market. This device, part of Xiaomi’s brand ecosystem, features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, unlike the Chinese version, which came with a UNISOC T8300. In addition, inside its IP64-rated body with metal frames, it features a robust 7,500 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging and 22.5 W reverse charging.
Its processor is the latest 4-nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 octa-core chip, which could score 620,000 points on Antutu v11 sufficient for the average user and capable of running apps smoothly and handling mid-range games. This device comes in versions with 4/6 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and for storage, it offers 128/256 GB of UFS 2.2, with the option to expand it up to 2 TB thanks to the included microSD card slot.
The display is an A6.9-inch IPS panel with HD resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The front-facing camera is 8 MP; the main rear camera has a 50 MP sensor, supported by a secondary camera and an LED flash.
It includes Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, and a 5G modem with dual SIM (no eSIM). It features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer; the fingerprint reader is integrated into the display, and the audio system consists of two speakers. The operating system is Android 16 with the Xiaomi HyperOS 3 user interface.
