Remotes for Google TV devices will soon be self-charging

It looks like we will soon forget about changing the batteries in our remote controls, starting with the Google TV devices that will soon receive this new technology.

Thanks to Exeger coating system PowerFoyle, the new remote controls for Google TV boxes will be able to recharge their internal battery simply with artificial indoor light or natural outdoor light. This new system of solar recharging materials will start its revolution for remote controls, but we will soon see it in countless devices such as headphones, headsets, gamepads… or other small devices.

Recharging technology with artificial light

As we can see in the announcement presented at CES, the new design of the remote control for Google TV device is similar to the official remotes G10 and G20 that exist in the Chromecast Google TV, now at the bottom we have a Powerfoyle sheet to recharge the internal battery. Undoubtedly an excellent application of these new charging materials, the low consumption of these remotes will keep it always recharged without any doubt.

We will see this technology in other devices such as Fire TV, which had already groped a design change in their remotes with a rechargeable system. In future Smart TV remotes with Android TV system or not we will also see it soon, brands like Samsung, LG, Sony or Philips are sure to adopt it quickly.

The remote as we can see we have already seen it in countless Google TV devices with the same design. This undoubtedly implies that we will soon have a device certified with this system adopting this new controller. It is very likely that Google will be the first to integrate it in some new hardware yet to be presented.

A very interesting recharging system that will evolve and be integrated into more and more devices. Although it does not recharge 100% systems with high energy demand, it will considerably increase their autonomy, it is not easy to imagine a cell phone with a rear area with this recharging system for example.
