The new retro console Retroid Pocket 3+ has just been released, although it is currently out of stock, an evolution of the Retroid Pocket 3 that takes a great leap forward
The screen of the Retroid Pocket 3+ maintains the 4.7-inch screen and Android 11 as the operating system with full access to the APPS store. As a core, this time the processor jumps to an Unisoc T618, a chip that generally allows us to even run Nintendo Gamecube games. Also, the memory jumps to 4 GB, the storage is upgraded to 128 GB eMMc 5.1 and the battery grows to 4500 mha, big improvements in all these aspects.
As usual in the retro consoles of this brand, we find a remapping app to get the most out of its controls, among which we have analogue sticks and support for game streaming.
Retroid Pocket 3+ Specifications
Inside the Retroid Pocket 3+ we find an efficient Octa Core Unisoc T618 SoC manufactured in 12nm as an engine. A Chip that has 2 high-performance ARM Cortex-A75 processors capable of reaching 2.0 GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz ARM and an ARM Mali-G52 MP3 GPU that reaches 850 Mhz.
We also have 4 GB of LPDDR4x 1866Mhz RAM and 128 GB of eMMc 5.1 storage memory integrated on the board that we can expand up to 256 GB thanks to the micro SD card reader included on the side.
Screen and other features
The screen is a 4.7-inch IPS with a resolution of 750×1334 pixels (16:9) and a maximum brightness of 450 nits. We also have dual-band Wi-Fi AC connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. We have a 4500 mAh battery that will give us about 7 hours of use, a pair of 2W speakers each and a front microphone.
In terms of connectivity, we find a micro HDMI video output, a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C OTG port for data and recharging the internal battery.
