Description
As we can see the new HUB MINIX NEO Storage Pro has a fairly conventional design within this range of products and the two USB Type-C connectors fit the side of our Macbook. The main box is made of aluminum at the top to help dissipate the heat generated, on one side and on the front we have all the connectors available and the M.2 SSD disk is housed inside. It is available in silver gray and dark gray.
On the front side we have HDMI 2.0 output that allow us to connect a secondary screen cloning the image, in the lateral we have one USB 3.0 Type-A port to connect peripherals, also have a USB Type-C charging port that allows us to power our laptop while using the HUB.

We perform our tests on several devices to check their compatibility, this model is only 100% certified to work with Apple MacBook Air and Apple MacBook Pro models and maybe it will be valid for future models if the distance between ports is maintained.

USB TYPE-CÂ GENERAL CONCEPTS
The MINIX NEO Storage Pro fits into our Macbook through its two Type-C connectors, this gives us the possibility of using our peripherals in any type of device, and we can transmit data, video or audio with the same connector. The basic specifications of this type of ports are those that we can see in the following table.
Within the USB Type-C standard we have multiple forms of connection that allow us to perform other functions in addition to conventional data loading and transfer, the so-called Alternate mode. With these modes we can transmit different protocols by the same connector or add more information, all this means that the maximum bandwidth is distributed accordingly.

Opinion
As we have verified, the MINIX brand offers us with its new HUB MINIX NEO Storage Pro an interesting device if we have an Apple MacBook Air or Apple MacBook Pro laptop and we want to get the most out of it. This HUB allows us to get the most out of our laptop by expanding the ports number and also allows us to connect a standard HDMI 2.0 cable up to 4K@60fps max.
Regarding the level of finishes and design, the MINIX NEO Storage Pro has the usual ones of the brand and are very careful, which makes it fit with any device. Undoubtedly the addition of an M.2 SSD disk gives it an interesting plus because we can use it almost as a high-speed disk, certainly much faster than any classic USB memory. In general an interesting device for which you have a Macbook laptop compatible with this HUB.
