TOKYO R1 a TV Stick with Amlogic SoC the size of a pendrive

If you are looking for a minimal and easy-to-transport multimedia player, the ROKYO R1 is an option, since its size is really minimal, and it uses an AMlogic S905Y2 SoC.

This small Stick is designed to occupy a minimum space and use it basically as a media player with KODI or similar, since its storage expansion options are minimal, since it does not include a simple micro SD card reader. If we do not have space problems we have models with TV-Box format for a similar price, much more flexible and with a fairly contained size.

SoC, RAM and storage

The ROKYO R1 Stick includes an AMlogic S905Y2 SoC, a Quad Core manufactured in 12 nm with ARM Cortex-A53 processors and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. The RAM is 2 GB LPDDR4 and the storage is 8 GB eMMc. You can see how this processor performs in our Review of a similar S905Y2.

In the field of wireless connectivity we have WiFi b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.2. While in terms of connectors, given their size, we have only a female HDMI 2.1 port, a USB 2.0 port and a micro USB for power. An infrared remote control, cables and power supply are included.
