The low-priced Android Smart Box market is where is more supply and this week we have seen new models moved by cheapers SoCs. The Super V is the cheap TV-Box today that this time is powered by the recent chip RK3318. A Box that lives up to its range but at least includes bluetooth and 4GB of RAM with which as a media player we can work perfectly. What most strikes us is its external decoration, something that says a lot about this Box.
Basic review
You can see the performance of the Super V in a similar model of Box that we have already reviewed. This Android TV-Box can be used as a basic media player with KODI or IPTV and we can also run simple games without too much resource demand given its hardware. We must remember that these cheap Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates with which we can only see Netflix as a basic image. SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV Box Super V has as engine with the new Rockchip RK3318 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU that includes native decoding of H.265 and VP9 video up to 4K@60fps resolutions with support for HDR. It has versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.
Other specifications
At the level of wireless connections this TV-Box has WiFi b/g/n with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. On the sides of the box we have a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack and an HDMI 2.0 port that allows the output of video resolutions up to 4K@60fps. It includes the classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable between the accessories.
