A new Smart Box equipped with the latest Rockchip RK3566 SoC called T95 Plus with Hexagonal design and decorative led strips on the top appears in Chinese stores.
The T95 Plus is the typical Chinese box that only stands out for the inclusion of a new RK3566 SoC and 8 GB of RAM as an option, something that we already saw days ago in another Box. Both with its 8 GB and 4 GB variant we can use it without problems as a multimedia center for KODI or for games or emulators thanks to its GPU that is above the Amlogic S905X3 and S905X4. Regarding the operating system, the T95 Plus already comes with Android 11 that we can handle from the first moment with the remote control that is included, although we can also optionally purchase it with another superior control.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart Box T95 Plus includes Rockchip’s recently launched SoC RK3566, a Quad Core with low-power 64-bit ARM Cortex-A55 processors that theoretically go up to 1.99 Ghz, with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and an iA NPU with a power of 0.8 TOPS. For RAM, we have options with 4/8 GB DDR3, the storage is 32/64 GB eMMc, and we have a micro SD card reader in case we want to expand the storage.
Other specs
In the field of wireless connectivity, it includes Dual Band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.2 with internal antenna. The connectors we have in this case are a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, SPDIF digital audio output, Gigabit Ethernet port and an HDMI 2.0a video output with support for resolutions up to 4k @ 60Hz with which we can use this Box like 4K @ 60fps mediacenter at full resolution.
