In our usual search for Chinese technological novelties today we came across the new cheap Android Box Tanix TX2.
A Box that surprises us by the absence of Bluetooth connectivity, something absurd for these times and that make it not recommended. The operating system is Android 12 and as engine we have the Allwinner H618 Quad Core processor that has support for AV1 codec decoding and is a small evolution of the Allwinner H616. The rest of its specifications do not stand out, only a version with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage that limit this box quite a bit.
Otherwise a hardware suitable for using this box as a multimedia center up to 4K UHD resolutions or to install and use apps such as emulators and games without too much graphical demand.
Tanix TX2 Specifications
Inside the TV-Box Tanix TX2 we find a low power consumption SoC Allwinner H618 manufactured in 28 nm. This is a chip that integrates 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5 Ghz and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
Of this Android Box we have a single version for sale with 2 GB of RAM DDR3 and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand thanks to the micro SD card slot included on the side of its circular plastic box.
Other outstanding features
In the field of wireless connectivity we have only Wifi b/g/n with internal antenna and no Bluetooth. As connectors we find in its plastic box 2 USB 2.0 ports, LAN 10/100 network connector, AV interface for audio and analog video output and an HDMI 2.0a video output port that allows us to output video up to 4K@60fps resolutions.
The Tanix TX2 comes with a simple infrared remote control, power supply and HDMI cable to start using this box just by taking it out of the box and connecting it to your TV.
