New Box with the Allwinner H6 SoC that we see in Chinese stores this time with the active brand Tnix in the Android TV-Boxes sector. Under the name of Tanix TX6 Mini hides a small and basic Box that has as an incentive its price since at the hardware level it is quite trimmed in all its aspects. As a positive part to note that its operating system is the modern Android 9.0 and that as a launcher we have the Alice UX developed by this Chinese brand.
This new device with Android 9 can works fine for use with KODI and IPTV and next-generation codecs, but not to play streaming as Netflix or Amazon Prime if we want more than basic quality. If we want to watch Streaming services in quality HD and 4K you can see our list of TV-Box with Netflix certificate. In power side you can see the results of the SoC that this Box assembles in our comparison of the Allwinner H6 SoC, with it we can run games with medium load, such as PUBG without problems. In terms of support we probably have some firmware available from Tanix in the future.
SoC, RAM and storage
The model Tanix TX6 Mini includes the Allwinner H6 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that reaches up to 1.8Ghz and an ARM Mali-T720mp2 GPU capable of processing video up to 4K resolutions at 60fps and 6K at 30fps thanks to its Allwinner Phoenix 3.0 VE engine. It also includes 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of storage memory that can be expanded thanks to the SD card reader found on one side of this plastic box.
This Android TV-Box only includes WiFi b/g/n with internal antenna on board and as connectors it has a 10/100 Ethernet interface, SPDIF digital audio output, a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0 port, a video output HDMI 2.0 and an analog AV output.
Among the included accessories we find, of course, an IR remote control, cables and power supply.
