Today we came across a new Android 11 Box on AliExpress called TANIX TX66 based on the Octa Core Rockchip RK3566 processor.
The RK3566 is a SoC that we haven’t seen in too many TV-Boxes, but it has been quite popular in the world of Chinese retro consoles. A SoC suitable to be used as a multimedia player due to its good specifications and even for games or emulators thanks to its GPU, superior to the one we have in the Amlogic S905X3 and S905X4 chips. About the rest of the specifications of the TANIX TX66 there is not much to highlight, only its 4 GB of RAM for this box of a brand that can give us some update.
TANIX TX66 Specifications
The TANIX TX66 Box has as its main engine Rockchip’s RK3566 processor manufactured in 22 nm. This SoC is a Quad Core with 64-bit low-power ARM Cortex-A55 processors running up to 1.8 Ghz, with a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU and an iA NPU rated at 0.8 TOPS.
The RAM memory is 4 GB DDR3 and the storage is 32 GB eMMc. We also have a micro SD card reader so if we want to expand the internal storage.
Other specifications
In the field of wireless connectivity, it includes Dual Band Wi-Fi aC and Bluetooth 5.0 with an adjustable external antenna. The connectors we have in this case are a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, SPDIF digital audio output, 10/100 Ethernet port, and an HDMI 2.0a video output with support for resolutions up to 4k@60Hz.
