TCL launch some of its Smart TVs with Android TV OS in U.S.

The TCL brand has an extensive range of Roku-based Smart TVs in the US market, and today it surprises us with the appearance of two models from its basic range with an Android TV system in the Best Buy store. A first landing that we hope will soon expand to more models, in Europe it has Smart TVs of all sizes and screen qualities.

From the TCL press release, this brand announces the arrival of its first models and future plans to bring others focused on its products to cover all possible systems. Chris Larson, Senior Vice President for TCL North America, explain their vision about these products.

“Since the first day TCL launched in North America, we’ve been focused on becoming one of the most popular TV brands by paying close attention to what our users value. Consumers desire options and our mission is to serve them with our latest multi-OS strategy. We’re excited to introduce new customers to TCL with our expanded television assortment and smart solutions in additional categories like TCL-branded home appliances, audio products and mobile phones – a broad offering that will further establish the company as a clear leader in the electronics space.”

This basic TCL Smart TV comes with all the Android TV 9 features, we have Google Play installed, a remote with microphone to use Google Assistant, Chromecast integrated and of course a more flexible system to install all the apps we want.

“From our robust content library available in apps and games from Google Play to having Google Assistant built into the TCL sets with Android TV, you’re able to control the TV with just your voice and create the perfect viewing environment by controlling smart home devices. Together with TCL, we’re making your time in front of the TV more rewarding.”
