Teclast P85 a new 8-inch tablet for the cheap range with Android 11

Few inexpensive tablets are presented lately, but today we have the launch of the Teclast P85, a cheap tablet with an 8-inch screen.

A simple tablet that we cannot ask for too much, but that externally stands out for having a metal body with vertical frames of only 5 mm, some interesting details in its price range. It is interesting to have at least the new Android 11 as an operating system and a pair of speakers, although we do not believe that they are of great quality. The rest of the hardware is nothing to write home about, with 2 GB of RAM and a low-end Allwinner SoC.

The Teclast P85 includes the Allwinner A133 SoC, a Quad Core made with 4 ARM Cortex-53 processors capable of reaching 1.6 GHz of speed with a PowerVR GE8300 GPU, a low-end chip.

We also have 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of high-speed eMMc 5.1 storage memory built into the board that we can expand thanks to the micro SD card reader included on one side.

Display and other specifications

The touch screen of the Teclast P85 is an 8-inch IPS with an HD + resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels with contained frames, it also includes a 0.3 MP front camera with microphone that complements the 2 MP rear. We also have Wi-Fi aC connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 that will give us some quality. We have a 4000 mAh battery that will give us about 6 hours of use.

In terms of connectivity, we find a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port for data and battery recharging.

Price and availability

  • The Teclast P85 tablet will soon be available for purchase on AliExpress at a price of around €75 / $90.
