TOX2 a tiny entry-level stick with Android 10 and network port

Few TV-Sticks have come to us lately from China, but today we find the TOX2 a small basic-range media player, although with some small surprises in its specifications.

We are basically surprised by the inclusion of a couple of USB ports and a network connector rarely seen in this small format. It is also an interesting detail the inclusion in the power port of a USB type-C connector, the standard that little by little is imposing itself. The operating system is Android 10 and with its 2 GB of RAM we can use it with KODI up to 1080p or for IPTV if we don’t demand too much of it. A Mediaplayer only suitable for basic use or to install on a secondary TV where we have a minimum space available. You can see the performance of that SOC Allwinner H313 in a similar Review.

SoC, RAM and storage

The TOX2 TV-stick includes the Allwinner H313 SoC as an engine, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors that integrates Mali-G31 MP2 GPU with native decoding of the h.265 and VP9 codecs and support for HDR10 video.

We have 2 GB of LPDDR4 RAM memory and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that can be expanded from the micro SD card reader that this equipment includes on the side of its plastic box.

Other specs

Regarding wireless connectivity, this TV-stick has Dual Band aC Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. As connectors, we have an HDMI 2.0 interface, two USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100 network connector, a jack to connect the IR sensor extension cable and a USB Type-C port for power. Also supplied with this media player is a basic quality IR remote control with hotkeys.
