New generic Box called Transpeed H618 that we found on AliExpress armed with the recent Allwinner H618 SoC, a small evolution of the Allwinner H616.
A Box that already comes with at least Android 12 as the system and finally supports hardware decoding for the AV1 codec. The rest of its hardware falls within the normal range and allows us to use this box as a multimedia center up to 4K UHD resolutions without problems or to install and use apps of all kinds, including games, without too much graphic demand.
As always, in this type of Box, it is better to forget about updates to new versions of Android and remember that they are not suitable for viewing videos in the highest quality in the apps of paid streaming platforms.
Transpeed H618 Specifications
Inside the Smart Box Transpeed H618 we have an Allwinner H618 SoC of which we do not know its manufacturing process and other details. This is a chip that integrates 4 ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5 Ghz and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU.
We have the usual versions of this Smart Box with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64/128 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand thanks to the micro SD card slot that it includes on one of its sides.
Other features
