We already have available in stores the final version of the Smart Box UGOOS AM6 that includes the powerful Amlogic S922X SoC. A box that fortunately seems to have eliminated the fan that had the first prototypes although the first version that is for sale only has 2GB of RAM and at a fairly high price. However, this Box also has a lot of working hardware with memories and quality wireless connectivity as well as a pair of eye-catching external WiFi antennas. The UGOOS AM6 also promises a quite worked software as in other Boxes of this brand that is always a plus for those looking for something of quality.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Ugoos AM6 includes the Amlogic S922X SoC, a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 processors capable of reaching 1.8Ghz + 2 Cortex-A53 RAM processors that reach 1.9Ghz. The GPU manufactured in 16nm is an ARM Mali-G52 MP6 with a maximum speed of 846MHz compatible with OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.0 that allows us to run powerful games like PUBG without problems as we have seen in one of our REVIEW.
At the VPU level we have the Amlogic Video Engine (AVE-10) with all types of HDR support, Dolby Vision, Advanced HDR10, HDR10 +, HLG, PRIME HDR and support for REC709 / BT2020 profiles. We also have digital audio DAC integrated in the audio aspect. The RAM is 2GB LPDDR4 and the storage Samsung 5.1 eMMc type with a capacity of 16GB expandable thanks to a microSD card reader that we have on one side.
Other features
In terms of wireless connectivity the Ugoos AM6 has WiFi 2 × 2 MiMo RSDB and Bluetooth 5.0 LE (Chip Ampak AP6398S). At the level of interfaces we have in the perimeter of the plastic box 1 USB 3.0 port, three USB 2.0 OTG, Gigabit Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output, an HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm jack for analog audio and video.
