It seems that electronic scams are on the rise on AliExpress lately, and today we found a new TV-Box called V88 Mini with impossible specifications.
This is a small multimedia box with a very attractive price with an Allwinner H3 SoC that dates from the year 2014. A SoC that is ONLY capable of managing 2 GB of RAM and decoding 4K video at 30fps, although in the announcement it is presented with versions with 4 and 8 GB of RAM and the ability to reach 8K resolution. The storage memory with a version with 128 GB for only $25 is also on trial, without comment….
Yet another scam attempt on AliExpress, like the Pad 5 Max and Pad 5 Max Pro tablets.
V88 Mini Specifications
The Smart Box V88 Mini includes an Allwinner H3 Quad Core SoC as an engine manufactured in no less than 40 nm. A Chip with ARM CORTEX-A7 processors that reach up to 1.2 Ghz and an ARM MALI-400mp2 GPU.
The RAM memory is theoretically 4/8 GB of DDR3 RAM, something impossible. For storage, there are versions with 32 and 128 GB of eMMc memory, although we also have a micro SD card reader.
Other features
For network connectivity, we have Wi-Fi b/g/n and a 10/100 Ethernet port. The rest of the connectors are an HDMI 1.4 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports and finally an analogue audio and video output. As usual, a basic IR remote control, cables and power supply are supplied with the V88 Mini.

Walmart’s Onn TV Box is even cheaper ($20), the latest version comes with Google TV and automatic system updates, that’s the one I bought after being scammed with this fake TV Box. Although it looks like the v88mini can still be flashed for retro gaming or even some decent, albeit limited, TV Box functionality.

Hallo diese Box wird momentan also Februar 2023 bei eBay Kleinanzeigen angeboten mit 8Gb /128 GB und Android 12 . für 50, Euro und der Betrug läuft ,der Verkäufer behauptet steif und fest diese Daten die auch in den settings stehen .aber ein kleiner Test 10 GB Daten aufzuspielen auf die Box gelingt nicht Speicher voll.und die Box läuft Groten langsam . Finger weg Fake Box
