Vbox another low-end Smart Box with Rockchip RK3318 SoC

Another basic low-end box that appears in stores. This time under the name Vbox we have a low range equipped with the Rockchip RK3318 SoC although in this case at a mid-range price that makes its attractiveness almost reduced to zero. A box whose differential is basically it’s decoration of its upper part. In short and in our opinion a Chinese box to avoid.

Basic review

Remember that these economic Boxes do not have secured support and do not have DRM certificates, so we can only see Netflix in the most basic image quality. SoC, RAM and storage

The Smart TV Box Vbox has the Rockchip RK3318 SoC that integrates four ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.5Ghz and a Mali-450mp5 GPU that includes native H.265 and VP9 video decoding even in 4K@60fps resolutions with HDR support. It has versions with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 32 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand by adding a memory card in the included microSD card reader.

Other specifications

At the level of wireless connections this TV-Box has WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. On the sides of the box we find a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0, 10/100 network connector, analog AV jack, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.0 port. The classic IR remote control and an HDMI cable are included.
