We already have on sale in China the new ViVo Y500 Pro a super mid-range terminal which highlights the sensor of its main camera of 200 MP the new Samsung HP5 that promises high quality photography and 4K video.
It also highlights its screen with a 6.67″ AMOLED panel with a high resolution of 2.8K and a refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz. A VIVO that uses the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 processor, an evolution of the Dimensity 7050 that exceeds up to 25% in CPU and 20% in GPU thanks to its new Arm Mali-G615.
The operating system is Android 15 with the OriginOS 6 layer that includes different functions powered by iA, photo editing, document scanning, etc. This vivo has a body with IP69 resistance , a thickness of 7.81 and minimal bezels, as they are only 1.37 mm.
Specifications of the vivo Y500 Pro
The SoC of this new VIVO smartphone is the recent Mediatek Dimensity 7300, an Octa Core manufactured in 4 nm. Inside this integrated we have two clusters, the more powerful one with 4 ARM Cortex-A78 processors that reach 2.5 Ghz and the more efficient one with 4 ARM Cortex-A55 processors that reach 2.0 Ghz. The GPU is a Mali-G615 MC2 that reaches 1047 Mhz and includes support for HDR10 technology. We also have a NPU 655 for artificial intelligence work.
The RAM memory has versions with 8 or 12 GB LPDDR4X although as always we can expand it virtually with the storage memory. For storage we have options with 128 / 256 / 512 GB UFS 2.2 that we can also expand via micro SD slot up to, we assume, with 2 TB capacity cards.
Display, cameras and autonomy
The display panel used by this ViVo is a 6.67-inch AMOLED with 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution, maximum brightness of 1600 Nits, 120 Hz refresh, 20:9 aspect ratio and includes light and proximity sensors.
For selfies we have on the front a 32 MP camera that complements the rear sensors integrated in a circular module, with a 200 MP Samsung HP5 OIS EIS main sensor supported by an auxiliary 2 MP depth sensor. We also have fingerprint reader integrated into the screen, 5G connectivity with Dual SIM, IR sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and GPS 5 in 1 for precise positioning anywhere
As for connection interfaces, in this new terminal we find a USB Type-C 2.0 port for data and recharging. The battery is 7000 mAh with fast charging up to 90 W, for audio we have a Hi-Res Audio compatible speaker.
Price and Availability
- The new vivo Y500 Pro has just gone on sale in China for about 128 € at the exchange rate. For now, if we like it we will have to use resellers like AliExpress.
