Under the name of VONTAR KK MAX we found on Aliexpress another version of a Box with the new Rockchip RK3566 SoC.
The VONTAR KK MAX is a new box that runs Android 11 as an operating system that basically draws our attention for having a version with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, since the rest of its specifications are similar to other Chinese Boxes that we have seen before. The Rockchip Quad Core Chip that it includes, RK3566, in theory surpasses the AMlogic S905X3 in power and for what seems also in heating, something that we hope to verify soon in one of our reviews.
SoC, RAM and storage
The VONTAR KK MAX Smart Box includes Rockchip’s new RK3566 SoC, a Quad Core with low-power, 64-bit ARM Cortex-A55 processors that theoretically go up to 1.99 Ghz, with a Mali-G52 2MP GPU and an NPU for iA with a power of 0.8 TOPS.
The RAM is 4/8 GB DDR4, the storage is 32/64/128 GB eMMc, and we have a micro SD card reader in case we want to expand the storage.
In the field of wireless connectivity, it includes Dual Band Wifi aC and Bluetooth 4.1 with internal antenna in all its versions. The connectors we have in this case are a USB 3.0 port, another USB 2.0, SPDIF digital audio output, Gigabit Ethernet port and an HDMI 2.0a video output with support for resolutions up to 4k @ 60Hz with which we can use this Box as a 4K @ 60fps media player at full resolution.
Together with the box, all the wiring necessary to start it is delivered and an IR remote control with key cloning function,
