Vorke V8 new compact miniPCs with 8th generation Coffe Lake processors

New model of Chinese miniPC compact under the name of Vorke V8 that three very interesting and quite powerful configurations. A model that stands out in its most powerful version with Intel Core i9-8950HK processor and include 8GB of RAM by default, without a doubt a beast in computing capacity for heavy processes that require CPU.

Basic Review

The miniPC Vorke V8 has in its most powerful version an Intel Core i9-8950HK processor capable of moving anything that we throw at it and without a doubt stands out in high CPU demand functions such as video rendering or gross image processing. As for games we are limited to simple 3D titles like LoL but surely we can move Overwatch in low settings.

The three solutions we also find include 8GB of serial RAM and a good expansion capacity of both RAM and storage. At the multimedia level, it can play 4K@60fps files on its miniDP port up to h.265 with KODI or IPTV streams. As for Streaming we can see Netflix, Prime Video, HBO up to FullHD quality as in any of the other miniPCs that we recommend.

Processor, RAM and storage

The Vorke V8 are available with Intel Core i9-8950HK, Core i7-8750H 6-core and 12-core or the Intel Core i5-8300H with 4 cores and 8 threads, some chips manufactured in 14nm that integrate an Intel HD 630 GPU and They are cooled by an internal fan. As RAM we have 8GB of DDR4 RAM expandable up to 32GB in 2 SODIMM slots, a NVMe PCIE 2280 128/256GB SDD and a 2.5″ free bay for another storage unit.

Other specifications

These new Vorke V8 also include an internal module with Dual Band Wifi and Bluetooth 4.1 with a pair of small internal antennas. In terms of connectivity we find 4 USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI 1.4a, a Gigabit RJ45 network connector, 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C front connector and a miniDP port with support for 4K@60fps video output. It is fully compatible with Windows 10 or any Linux distribution.
