Today we found on AliExpress the new Android Box X88 PRO S905 X5M that carries inside the new Amlogic S905X5M SoC manufactured in 6 nm.
A processor that is apparently 21% faster than its predecessor (30K DMIPS), the Amlogic S905X4 (20K DMIPS) and in which we also have a new Mali-G310 V2 GPU that doubles its graphics power. The rest of the specifications do not stand out too much, although its price must be taken into account, we will only point out its Gigabit network port.
The operating system is Android 14 and in theory its Ai-SR algorithms will be active, which improve the quality of low resolution video playback. In any case, it does not include DRM certificates for Netflix and similar as in the new Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen that uses the same SoC.

Inside this Android TV-Box we find the Quad Core Amlogic S905X5M processor, manufactured in 6 nm. This integrated includes ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a power of 30K DMIPS and a new ARM Mali-G310 V2 iGPU. We have support for native decoding of H.265, AVS2, VP9 and AV1 codecs with resolutions up to 4K@75fps 10 bit, and it is compatible with HLG and HDR10 technologies.
We find different versions of this TV-Box with 2/4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16/32/64 GB of eMMc storage. If we want to expand the memory, we can use the included microSD card reader.

In the wireless connectivity section, the X88 PRO S905 X5M offers Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The connectors included in the plastic box are two USB 2.0 ports, gigabit network port, SPDIF digital audio output and an HDMI 2.1 video output with support for up to 4K@60 FPS resolutions.
Power supply, HDMI cable to connect it to the TV and a remote control with microphone and shortcut keys to different streaming apps are included.
