We already have in the Aliexpress.com store the first TV-Box with Amlogic S905W4 SoC, it is the X96 mini +. A chip designed to compete in the most economical range and that presents minimal improvements over the previous S905W.
In the new Amlogic S905W4 SoC we find the same hardware configuration with few differences, in the absence of the complete specifications for now we only see that it includes HDR 10 / HLG support as a novelty. The Android 9 operating system and the same hardware configuration in terms of Cortex-A53 cores and Mali-450 MP5 GPU are maintained.
SoC, RAM and storage
The Smart TV Box with Android X96 mini plus integrates as its heart the new Amlogic S905W4 SoC, a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.2Ghz and a MALI-450 MP5 GPU that reaches 750Ghz. It has 1/2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 8/16 GB of eMMc storage memory on board and a micro SD card reader located on the side of the black plastic box that allows us to increase its internal storage.
Other features
Regarding wireless connectivity, we have Dual band Wi-Fi aC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. In the connectors section, this mini Smart Box includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, SPDIF audio output, micro SD reader, 10/100 network connector and finally an analogue port for audio and video. Also included in the box is a simple infrared remote control and power supply to start it up.
