Also presented in China is the Xiaomi PAD 7 PRO, an enhanced version of the Xiaomi PAD 7 with which it shares many of its features.
The screen is the same as in the PAD 7, an 11’20 inches with 3.2K resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 3:2 format and an anti-reflective coating. What does change is its processor, which in the PRO version is upgraded with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a reduced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, but which still has a good overall performance.
The rest of the changes in the Xiaomi PAD 7 PRO are quite secondary, with improvements in the front and rear cameras, increased battery fast charging up to 67 W and a leap in wireless connectivity with the adoption of Wi-Fi 7 technology . As operating system we also have the latest Xiaomi HyperOS 2 brand layer based on Android.
Specifications of the Xiaomi PAD 7 PRO
This new Xiaomi tablet includes the powerful Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC manufactured by TSCM in 4nm. This chip reaches up to 3.4 GHz in its ARM Cortex-X1 core, has three other ARM Cortex-A720 cores at lower speeds and four ARM Cortex-A520 low-power CPUs. In the graphics section, we have an Adreno 735 GPU with OpenGL 3.2 and Vulkan 1.1 support.
This tablet has versions with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and options with 128 / 256 / 512 GB high-speed UFS 4.0 storage memory.
Display and other features
The Xiaomi PAD 7 Pro tablet features an 11.2-inch IPS display with 3000 × 2136 pixels resolution, 3:2 ratio, 800 nits brightness and a refresh rate that reaches 144 Hz. Screen that by the way is compatible with the Stylus of the brand and Dolby Vision and HDR10 technology.
The front camera is 32 MP and on the back we have a 50 MP camera with a small LED flash. In the audio section, we have 4 Hi-Res speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos and 4 microphones. We also find a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 port, Wi-Fi 7 wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 5.4. The battery is 8850 mAh and has 67 W fast charging.
Price and availability
- The new Xiaomi PAD 7 Pro can be purchased for the moment only in China for a price starting at $325 at the exchange rate. We will have to wait for the western version, although it will surely be available in a few days on AliExpress and other online stores.
