Officially unveiled the new Xiaomi Pad Mini, an 8.8-inch tablet that shares many features with the REDMi K Pad, but will arrive on the international market soon.
Inside we find the Mediatek Dimensity 9400 processor manufactured in 3 nm, an update of its previous version with more computing power. This tablet has a very compact size thanks to its 8.8″ IPS panel with a refresh rate of 165 Hz, but with a resolution that reaches no less than 3008 x 1880 pixels. This time we have Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and two USB-C ports, one of them also with DisplayPort 1.4 video output.
The operating system that comes standard is Android 15 with the custom layer HyperOS 2 and will have updates via OTA in the long term and naturally access to the Play Store and all Google services.
Specifications of the Xiaomi Pad Mini
The SoC that mounts this new Xiaomi tablet is a Mediatek Dimensity 9400 , an Octa Core manufactured in 3 nm by TSMC. Inside we have three clusters, the most powerful with 1 Arm Cortex-X935 processor that reaches 3.63 Ghz. In the other two clusters we have 3 Arm Cortex-X4 processors and 4 Arm Cortex-A720 processors. The GPU is an Arm Immortalis-G925 MC12 and includes support for HDR10, HDR VIVID and below. We also have an NPU 890 for artificial intelligence work.
The RAM we have versions with 8/12 GB LPDDR5X. For storage, we have versions with 256 / 512 GB UFS 4.0 high-speed expandable by micro SD card up to 2 TB.
Display and other features
The screen of this XIAOMI is an 8.8″ IPS , with a resolution of 3008 x 1880 pixels, a configurable refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5. In the photographic section in the rear area we have a 13 MP sensor while in the front area we have an 8 MP camera. The thickness is only 6.4 mm and its weight is 326 grams, which allows us to carry it comfortably anywhere.
The battery is 7500 mAh with fast charging 67 W. We also find light sensors, gravity, hall, color temperature, gyroscope, wireless connectivity Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and as a connector we find two USC-C ports one of them 3.2 Gen1 and another 2.0. For audio, we have two Dolby Atmos compatible speakers.
