We already have for sale in AliExpress the new Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen), the version of this 2025 of the popular economic Xiaomi Stick to smartize our TV.
A new stick that seems to improve substantially over the previous edition that went on sale in 2023 and of which you have available our review. Now the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) uses the powerful Amlogic S905X5M processor and receives better wireless connectivity, with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Unfortunately, the storage memory is not increased and remains at a reduced 8 GB, something inexplicable considering the price of memory at the moment.
The operating system is Google TV 14 and as in the Xiaomi TV Box 3rd Gen, which uses the same processor, we have support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10, Dolby Atmos and DTS-X technologies. As always, we have all the DRM certificates necessary to view in maximum quality streaming channels and integrated Chromecast.
Specifications of the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen)
In this new Xiaomi stick of 2025 we find in the Amlogic S905X5M processor, manufactured in 6 nm. This integrates ARM Cortex-A55 processors with a power of 30K DMIPS and a new ARM Mali-G310 V2 iGPU. We also have support for native decoding of H.265, AVS2, VP9 and AV1 codecs with resolutions up to 4K@75fps 10 bit, compatible with HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision technologies.
We have a single version with 2 GB of DDR4 RAM and 8 GB of eMMc storage. If we want to expand the memory, we will have to use an external USB drive
Other notable specifications
In the wireless connectivity section, the Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. The connectors included in its small plastic body are only a horrendous microUSB 2.0 (OTG) port and an HDMI 2.1 video output.
As usual, a power supply is included, as well as a Bluetooth remote control that has a microphone to give commands with Google Assistant.
