The new Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) has been unveiled, the 2026 version of Xiaomi’s popular budget-friendly device designed to turn your TV into a smart TV with HD quality.
This new stick replaces the current Xiaomi TV Stick HD 1st Gen with a substantial upgrade to its processor. The new integrated SoC promises a 38% improvement in CPU performance and a significant boost in GPU performance as well. The output resolution is Full HD, but it supports HDR10. On the other hand, the specs are quite limited: it features Wi-Fi 5, which could be better for a streaming stick; it has only 1 GB of RAM; and for storage, the bare minimum, with just 8 GB.
This product comes with a Bluetooth remote control featuring a microphone, allowing you to give commands to Google Assistant; it also includes built-in Chromecast.

This new 2026 Xiaomi stick features an unspecified SoC, but it is likely the Amlogic S905Y5-B, manufactured on a 12nm process. It features ARM Cortex-A55 processors (previously A35) and an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 iGPU (previously Mali 450). It supports native decoding of H.265,AVS2,VP9, and AV1 codecs at resolutions up to 1080@60fps, along with HLG, HDR10, and HDR10+ technologies.
The board features 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and 8 GB of eMMC storage. If you want to expand the storage, you’ll need to use an external USB drive
Other notable specifications
In terms of wireless connectivity, the Xiaomi TV Stick HD (2nd Gen) includes Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0. The only ports on its small plastic body are a dreadful microUSB 2.0 OTG port (yes, it still has this connector in 2026) and an HDMI video output. For audio, it supports Dolby and DTS:X, which is required for many paid streaming services.
As usual, a power adapter and a Bluetooth remote control with a microphonef or issuing commands via Google Assistant are included.
