Y9, a simple Stick with Amlogic S905Y4 and Android 11

It seems that the TV-Sick are living their new awakening after being practically disappeared from circulation, and today we find another one, the Y9.

This small Stick has a Quad Core AMlogic S905Y4 processor inside, with enough power to give it a normal use, either running apps, games, emulators or as a media player for 4K videos and even with AV1 codec. Expansion options are minimal, since in its body we only have a USB 2.0 port and for storage there is only one version with 16 GB of which will be free about 9 GB, since here the system files are stored.

The operating system is Android 11, although in some part of the ad mentions Android 13 and even the inclusion of the widevine L1 certificate, the typical “errors” of some Chinese stores.

On its small board, we have 2 GB of DDR4 RAM memory soldered on board and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory that we can expand if we use the USB 2.0 port with a pen drive.
